Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE)

Omicron Delta Epsilon (ODE) is an honor society in economics. It was established in 1963 through a merger of Omicron Delta Gamma, founded in 1915, and Omicron Chi Epsilon, founded in 1955. Omicron Delta Epsilon recognizes student scholastic achievement, promotes closer student and faculty relationships at colleges and universities, and publishes an official journal, The American Economist. Two annual awards are made by the society on the basis of competitive entries: Irving Fisher Graduate Monograph Award and the Frank W. Taussig Undergraduate Article Award. Omicron Delta Epsilon has more than 430 chapters in the United States and other countries, with more than 10,000 active members.
