Tuition
The cost of each course is $1,590. The tuition includes payment for course materials. Textbooks, which may be required for some courses, are not included in the tuition. If your course requires you to purchase a textbook, you will be notified in writing. The course tuition is the same whether you audit the course or take it for graduate education credit. You must decide whether you will take the course for audit by noon on Thursday, July 24. You must notify the director of the program in writing if you decide to take the audit option. A form will be distributed during the program for you to make your request in writing on Thursday, July 24.

If you take a course for credit, you will be required to complete the project due after the end of class on July 26, and you may submit a request for Act 48 credits. The final project must be submitted to the course instructor by Aug. 2 via e-mail and/or surface mail. The course instructors will be giving directions to students in class during the week of the program. In this instance, a letter grade (i.e. “A,” “B,” “C,” etc.) will be assigned.

If you take a course for audit, you are not required to complete the final project for the course. In this instance, a grade of “X” will be recorded on your transcript to verify that you have attended the class.

Teachers who are currently employed as full-time teachers in Catholic schools within the dioceses of Philadelphia, Pa., Allentown, Pa., Trenton, N.J., Camden, N.J., and Wilmington, Del., will be granted a 30 percent tuition discount. If you are eligible for this discount, you must submit a letter from your principal indicating that you will be teaching in your present school during the 2014–2015 academic year.

Registration and Payment of Fees
Registration for courses and housing, if desired, must be made in advance. You may register online by completing the La Salle University Graduate AP Program Application and choosing your course at the end of the application.

By using the online Graduate Program Application the La Salle University Office of Student Accounts Receivable will bill you directly once your registration has been received. They will continue to bill you until payment has been made. If payment is not made by the time classes begin, you will be notified of your options in this regard.

Payment of tuition and/or housing fees can be made with check or purchase order sent via U.S. mail to the address listed on the registration form. La Salle University only accepts credit card payments via the Web (www.lasalle.edu/bursar). Please note that there is an additional fee for this service. You will need your seven-digit La Salle ID number assigned by the University in order to complete your transaction. This number will be sent to you in the bill.

Because registration for all courses must be limited, students will be accepted on a “first come, first served” basis. All courses will run concurrently; consequently, you may register for only one course.

Cancellation Policy
All cancellations must be received prior to July 1, 2014, or the applicant will be held responsible for tuition and fees. The University reserves the right to cancel any course due to insufficient enrollment or for any other reason.

Evening Activities
For interested students, evening activities will be available to historic areas of Philadelphia and to other local attractions during the week of the program. A small fee will be charged to help cover the cost of transportation should you choose to take part in these excursions. In addition, the program may make available for purchase tickets to local events and attractions available in the Philadelphia area depending on availability and schedule. Information on this will be sent to all registered participants prior to the summer institute.
