Education professor Robert Vogel was interviewed by the Philadelphia Inquirer and WPVI TV (Channel 6) about a connection between a program he directs and the new film, Freedom Writers.
The movie tells the story of a teacher who connected with her students by having them write journals. Vogel met the teacher and started the program in Philadelphia at Grover Washington Middle School. La Salle students volunteer with the middle school children in the project.
