The department sponsors the work of the La Salle Education Association, in which education majors work together to plan campus events, provide community outreach services, sponsor speakers, and plan funding drives. To date, the Education Association has 58 members and has been very active. Campus and outreach events include:

• Sponsoring a Halloween activity for local students
• Inviting and accompanying local school children to a La Salle women's basketball game
• Holding a campus-wide book drive to collect materials for a local school
• Hosting and sponsoring local middle school students to visit campus and learn about University offerings and life
• Holding fundraising events
• Sponsoring the AICES group to bring students with special needs to campus in order to demonstrate assistive technology
• Developing a campus-wide activity for Autism Awareness month
• Organizing a student/faculty basketball game and social gathering
