|Senior Jason P. Ager (dual major in English and German), has received a Fulbright Award for study at the University of Vienna through the 2004-2005 academic year, with possibility of renewal for a second year. Jason will receive a grant for travel expenses, a stipend, and tuition remission and will be a teaching assistant on a part-time basis. |
Jason's project involves the study of Austrian-Jewish literature from Prague and Vienna, especially how the legend of the Golem has persisted into modern-day Austrian literature. He has been invited by Professor Wendelin Schmidt-Dengler, the major professor of modern Austrian literature in Vienna, to participate in his graduate seminar, and he has also received a letter of invitation to collaborate from Doron Rabinovici, the writer on whom Jason will chiefly be working.
