The Vikings on Film: Essays on Depictions of the Nordic Middle Ages by Dr. Kevin J. Harty, Professor and Chair of English, was published this April by McFarland & Co. The volume includes 15 essays by scholars from universities in the United States and England that focus on more than a hundred years of Viking films from 1907 to 2009. Harty contributed both the introduction, an essay on Viking films set in North America, and the filmography to the volume.
