The Italian language students from all levels - 101, 201, and 301 - visited the Italian market on Tuesday and Wednesday, 9.26 and 9.27, as part of the La Salle strategic initiative to use the City of Philadelphia as a classroom. Their visit included stops at historic locations like Fantes, Talluto's Fresh Pasta, Claudio's Salumeria, Di Bruno's House of Cheese, Isgro's Pastry and Anthony's Coffee Shop. This trip put into action the language skills they have learned in class. This was a real world experience that put learning to a very practical use and showcased one of Phildelphia's many cultural areas. |
