Senior Wins One-Year Fellowship To Germany
Chris Brase, a senior with a major in communication and a minor in German, has been awarded a fellowship by the Deutscher Akademischer Austauschdiest or German Academic Exchange Service
to study and work in Germany for a year. The fellowship will allow Chris to take some intensive language training, followed by one semester of course work in communication, at a German university and then work at an internship in his field. According to Dr. Vincent Kling of the Foreign Languages Department, “This national competition is sponsored annually by the German and American governments and involves a rigorous process of selection. The awards committee made it a special point of informing Chris that his award comes in the most competitive year they have ever had.”
