Barbara Allen recently publishedan essay entitled the "Russian Revolution and Civil War, 1917-1921" in the book Events That Changed Russia (Greenwood Press, 2007). She also published articles about Bolshevik revolutionary Alexander Shliapnikov in the journals Revolutionary Russia (London, UK) and NEP Era Russia (Idyllwild, CA). She is currently the book review editor of NEP Era Russia.
