Dr. Richard Goedkoop, Associate Professor of Communication, last March produced a series six half-hour programs entitled Pennsylvania in the Civil War. Goedkoop produced these programs as a sabbatical project and received help from three History Department faculty members--Dr. Lisa Jarvinen, Dr. Stuart Leibiger, and Brother Ed Sheehy—as well as from Tonya Ellis, La Salle 56 station manager, and student assistant Katheryn Kennedy. The programs focus on the Battle of Gettysburg, the Gettysburg Address, and three generals from Pennsylvania: Winfield Scott Hancock, John Fulton Reynolds, and George Gordon Meade. The programs are currently airing on La Salle TV, which can be seen on Comcast (Channel 56)  and Verizon Fios (Channel 36) within the city limits of Philadelphia.
