Science and Civic Engagement
The NSF Science Education for New Civic Engagement and Responsibility (NSF-SENCER) recently held its sixth annual Summer Institute. The goal of SENCER is to foster increased student learning in the sciences, mathematics, and technology through interdisciplinary courses, active learning techniques, and civic engagement activities.

La Salle's SENCER team, comprised of Peg McManus, Diane Montague, Pat Wilson, and Jane Turk, enjoy the flowers at the University of Santa Clara campus where the Institute was held.
