Talking Numbers!

Dr. Anne Edlin and five La Salle Mathematics majors attended the Annual Conference for Mathematicians in Providence Rhode Island August 12 - 14th.

Math Fest is the Annual Summer Meeting of the Mathematical Association of America (MAA).

There were sessions on both mathematical research and teaching mathematics along with several student paper sessions.

Dr. Edlin took the 5 students to the program so that they could "see what a mathematical conference is like, and so they would feel comfortable giving talks at future conferences."
