Students interested in applying to health profession schools have the option of receiving a pre-professional advisor. This advisor is in addition to the student’s academic advisor. This advisor leads the student through an intense program of advisement that includes discussion of application procedures, school selection, the interview process, preparation for standardized testing, letters of recommendation. The pre-health professions advisor is usually appointed early in a student’s junior year. Group pre-health advisement is provided throughout the four years and some individual advisement is available in the freshman and sophomore years.
