Clinical interests:
Adjustment to chronic illness and disability; anxiety and mood disorders; somatoform and psychophysiological disorders; wellness and health improvement. Specialized populations served: Adolescents and Adults with Spinal Cord Injuries, Brain Injuries/Strokes, Chronic Pain Disorders, Amputations, and Pre- and Post-Transplant patients.
Research interests & opportunities for students:
Adjustment to chronic illness and disability; coping behavior, personality factors, and adaptation to chronic pain; trauma and vulnerability to somatization and psychophysiological disorders.
