The Department of Religion plays an integral role in promoting the Catholic Lasallian mission of the University, while providing students with a solid foundation for the academic study of religion. We strive to offer a wide variety of courses that reflect the ways religion has influenced our social, political, cultural, and moral worlds. Although the Department focuses primarily on those religions that constitute the Catholic Christian tradition, we believe the study of non-Christian religious traditions is crucial to understanding and interacting with the world of the twenty-first century.
