| Brian R. Wyant is an Assistant Professor in the Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Criminal Justice. He earned his B.A. in Sociology at McDaniel College (formerly Western Maryland College), his M.S. in Criminal Justice at the University of Baltimore, and his Ph.D. in Criminal Justice at Temple University in 2010. Prior to joining La Salle Brian taught a wide variety of courses, including Policing, Criminology, Introduction to Criminal Justice, Research Methods, Social Problems, Introduction to Sociology, Cultural Anthropology, and Culture and Diversity. Brian’s research interests include fear of crime, firearm violence, policing, and more broadly the spatial distribution of crime. His publications have appeared in the Journal of Research in Crime and Delinquency, Criminology and Public Policy, and Criminology. Originally from Maryland, Brian, his wife, and their daughter now live in West Philadelphia on the campus of the University of Pennsylvania where he is an Associate Fellow in Stouffer College House. |
