La Salle Students Get to the "Heart" of the Matter
The members of the Sociology, Social Work, and Criminal Justice Student Association held a Valentine's Day fundraiser to raise money for Women Against Abuse, a local domestic violence shelter.

Students from three different academic programs (Sociology, Social Work and Criminal Justice) worked together to raise money for a cause they all felt was important - protecting women from domestic abuse.

Each semester, the members of the Sociology, Social Work, and Criminal Justice Association sponsor a fundraiser to benefit a social justice issue. Last semester, they raised money for St. John's Hospice in time to feed the hungry on Thanksgiving. Although this group of students has diverse interests, they all see the importance of working together to promote social justice.
