Charles Gallagher Elected Vice President of the Pennsylvania Sociological Society
Professor Charles (Chip) Gallagher, Chair of the Department of Sociology, Social Work, and Criminal Justice, was elected Vice President of the Pennsylvania Sociological Society (PSS) in December, 2009 for a term of two years. Founded in 1950, the PSS aims to increase the understanding of the interplay of sociological knowledge and social research among sociologists working in education, industry, government, and voluntary associations, or as solo practitioners. PSS membership includes faculty from over 100 colleges and universities in Pennsylvania.
