The La Salle Social Work Program Advisory Board held a welcome-back dinner on for social work majors at the University on September 9th. Jonathan Harmon, MSW, LCSW, co-chair of the Advisory Board, welcomed board members, students, and faculty.
Thomas Keagy, Dean of the School of Arts and Sciences, added his welcome, and wished the students well in this academic year. Students and board members shared experiences and interests in social work, including some of the following specialties: work with people who are amputees, social work with older people with mental health issues, support to families of children with chronic health conditions, and social work with people who are hospitalized in an acute care facility.
