Mary Mother of Captives held a Prisoner Art Exhibit and Sale in the Union lobby on October 25 with proceeds going to prison artists. Mary Mother of Captives is a non-profit organization that ministers to the families of inmates through various support groups that meet throughout the Philadelphia area. Jack and Sophie Weber, representatives from the organization, are pictured with Brother Robert J. Kinzler, F.S.C., Director of University Ministry and Service (UMAS).
Co-sponsors of the sale included UMAS, the University Concert and Lecture Funding Series, the Catholic Studies Program, and the Departments of Religion, Fine Arts, and Sociology, Social Work, and Criminal Justice. |
