La Salle's School of Business is proud of our initiatives and the outcomes of our corporate partnerships. These partnerships provide many benefits for our business students networking opportunities, insight into practical business trends, and funds for renovations to the School of Business classrooms.

Five recent La Salle graduates were selected for Vanguard's Leadership Development Program. The Program seeks highly motivated new college graduates with an interest in financial services and introduces them to career opportunities at Vanguard. Of the 17 offers extended, La Salle students accepted 78 percent of the positions.

La Salle's Students In Free Enterprise (SIFE) Team has won the Boston Regional Competion each of the last 2 years earning them a trip to the national competition in Kansas City.

Throughout the semester, freshmen in our Introduction to Business course, designed in conjunction with Johnson & Johnson executives, work in teams to develop business plans and attend lectures presented by nearly 50 corporate executives, many representing the J & J Family of Companies. At the conclusion of the semester, student teams present the business plans and are evaluated and judged with each winning team receiving cash rewards by business executives from a variety of companies and industries, many of whom are School of Business alumni.

Internships and full-time and part-time Co-op opportunities are available to all business majors who meet the academic requirements. Co-ops are available to students in the Business Scholars Co-op Program. Through these experiences, students can gain business perspectives outside the classroom, build their résumés, and still graduate within four years.

La Salle is a partner in the Systems Applications and Products (SAP) University Alliance Program. The Lincoln National Group Foundation/Delaware Investments Computer Center provides business students with the opportunity to learn about SAP software that has become prevalent in the corporate world.

For six of the last seven years, Beta Gamma Sigma, the international honor society serving business programs accredited by AACSB International - The Association to Advance Collegiate Schools of Business, has honored the La Salle chapter as an Outstanding Chapter. In 2009, La Salle was recognized as one of the top five programs out of 486 collegiate chapters worldwide. Annually, La Salle inducts between 60 and 70 top-ranking students into our Beta Gamma Sigma Chapter.

Each semester, high school juniors and seniors participate in our School of Business Workshop. This interactive workshop allows students to participate in experiential learning sessions conducted by our faculty.

Each year, as part of our Executive on Campus Program, nearly 100 corporate executives, mostly La Salle alumni, visit our undergraduate classes and speak about career paths, industry highlights, and current business trends.
