Dr. Janice Beitz, Professor of Nursing, presented special preconference session on comprehensive wound assessment at the Symposium on Advanced Wound Care (SAWC), held in Dallas, Texas, from April 14-17. Beitz, along with La Salle alumnae Jackie Brace and Rosemary Kates, also presented at two other sessions entitled: "Continuity of Care and Patient Safety: The Challenge of the Complex Wound Care Patient" and "Education for Behavioral Change: Pressure Ulcer Prevention and Therapy." The Symposium on Advanced Wound Care is the largest inter-professional wound care conference in the United States.
