Dr. Patti Zuzelo, Associate Professor of Nursing, has published her research study, "Clinical Nurse Specialists' Knowledge Specific to Medicare Structures and Processes" in the journal, Clinical Nurse Specialists (August, 2004). Six alumni of the CNS track of the graduate nursing program participated as co-investigators and co-authors.
The study began in 2001 during the co-investigators' final year of graduate studies. Findings were presented by Dr. Zuzelo at the 2003 NACNS national conference. The co-authors include Rosemary Fallon, MSN, RN, C, CWOCN; April Lang, MSN, RN, C; Cheryl Lang, MSN, RN, C, CEN; Kate McGovern, MSN, RN, CCRN; Lisa Mount, MSN, RN; Betty Cummings, MSN, RN, OCN. Two other alumni, Christine Dennis, MSN, RN and Stephanie Markovitz, MSN, RN contributed to the instrument development.
