La Salle Neighborhood Nursing Center Selected to Provide Intervention Programs
Last week, Dr. Zane Robinson Wolf, Dean School of Nursing and Health Sciences, received an official letter from the City of Philadelphia's Department of Public Health, Division of Maternal, Child and Family Health indicating that the La Salle Neighborhood Nursing Center has been selected as one of the three contractors to provide Health Intervention Program services for 2006-07.

This year was the first in almost a decade that the city conducted open competition for the HIP contracts. According to Katherine Maus, Director of the Division of Maternal, Child and Family Health, the application process was "extremely competitive."

The three successful applicants for the HIP contracts for 2006-07 are the La Salle Neighborhood Nursing Center, Resources for Children's Health, and The Supportive Child Adult Network (SCAN), Inc.

The anticipated funding level for 2006-07 will be $330,000.
