| Dr. Cesar Ruiz, SLP.D., CCC/SLP, Associate Professor of Speech-Language Hearing Science, recently became a Board Recognized Specialist in Swallowing and Swallowing Disorders (BRS-S). This designation is granted by the American Speech-Language Hearing Association to speech–language pathologists (SLPs) who demonstrate advanced knowledge, skills and experience in the area of swallowing disorders. . BRS-S is the standard for identifying an SLP who is an expert in dysphagia, or swallowing disorders. |
