Dr. Barbara Amster, Director of the Speech-Language- Hearing Science Programs, was recently elected to represent Pennsylvania‘s speech-language pathologists on the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)’s Speech-Language Pathology Advisory Council (SLPAC). Her term will begin January 1, 2012, and conclude on December 31, 2014. According to Amster,”Advisory Council members identify and discuss issues of concern to members and provide information on these issues to ASHA’s Board of Directors. They also make recommendations to the Board about possible future programs and services to be developed and/or supported by the Association’s resources.”
