Dr. Janice M. Beitz, Ph.D., R.N., C.S., CWOCN, CRNP, Professor of Nursing, co-authored an article with alumna Lia van Rijswijk, MSN, R.N., CWCN, describing the results of their two-year funded research. They developed the evidence base for algorithms they designed for the safe use of negative pressure wound therapy in adult patients with acute and chronic wounds.The work involved a systematic review of the literature, algorithm development, face validation, and subsequent full content validation. The article appears in April’s issue of Ostomy Wound Management.
