Dr. Janice Beitz, Ph.D., R.N., CNS, CNOR, CWOCN, CRNP, was selected as the Outstanding Nursing Alumna of La Salle’s School of Nursing and Health Sciences (SNHS) for 2012. She also recently was awarded a $10,000 research grant from the Center for Clinical Investigation of the Wound Ostomy Continence Nurses Society to conduct a study along with Janice Colwell, MSN, R.N., CWOCN, her colleague from Chicago. Their study is entitled “Survey of WOC Nurses on Stomal and Peristomal Complications: Prioritized Management Approaches."
