Welcome to the School of Nursing and Health Sciences at La Salle University!
The School of Nursing and Health Sciences is located in
St. Benilde Tower on West Campus. St. Benilde Tower, originally Wister Tower of the Germantown Hospital Campus, has been renovated recently with new classrooms, labs, clinics, and offices.
The mission of the School of Nursing and Health Sciences is to provide excellent teaching, service, and academic programs facilitating students' development as caring healthcare professionals prepared for lives of service and continued learning. Its vision is to focus academic, service, and research activities on mobilizing social, political, healthcare, and educational resources for the welfare of
vulnerable, underserved, and diverse populations.
The School's goals are as follows:
- To engage students in educational, service, and research programs aimed at caring for people they serve;
- To facilitate student development in critical thinking, effective communication, and knowledge, skill, and values to care and advocate for the health of individuals, families, groups, and communities locally, regionally, and globally.
We accomplish our mission and goals through five highly acclaimed programs:
- Health Studies
- Nursing
- Nutrition
- Public Health
- Speech-Language Hearing Sciences
Within these programs, we offer undergraduate and graduate degrees in addition to certificates and eLearning opportunities. I urge you to visit the website of our programs and contact the program directors for more information. Dedicated, caring, and responsive faculty and staff ensure students' academic experiences are of the highest quality.
Our programs are offered not only on the main campus but also in Bucks County and at Abington Memorial Hospital and Pennsylvania Hospital. To further accomplish our mission and goals, we maintain partnerships with both the Frank J. Tornetta School of Anesthesia and the Clarke School for Hearing and Speech and with our advisory boards, who provide wisdom, guidance, and advice to the School and our programs.
