Geared toward first-time and part-time/adjunct instructors,
this workshop will focus on the use of technology in
the classroom. The session will feature “how-to”
information about the portal, email, WebCT, and Turnitin.com.
Additionally, there will be opportunity to discuss classroom
issues unique to new and part-time instructors.

This round-table discussion will focus on faculty experiences
and concerns with regard to issues of academic integrity
(e.g., cheating, plagiarism) and classroom behavior
(e.g., lateness, attendance). According to a survey
conducted by the Faculty Development Committee last
year, these issues are of great concern to faculty members.

learners pose different opportunities and challenges
in the classroom. This discussion-based session emphasizes
learning styles and issues of interest to those teaching
adult learners. Additionally, participants can share
their strategies for teaching adult learners.
