Room Assignment and Roommates

Room Assignment

Your specific Housing Assignment location information is available online through mylasalle under the Life at La Salle tab in the Living channel. You may click on the portal link above to log onto mylasalle. Follow the directions to look up your assignment.

You may also see what your roommate looks like by clicking on the Student Directory link in the portal and looking up your roommate using that application (See the mylasalle portal for more information regarding the Student Directory).

Before Arriving

Before arriving at La Salle, contact your roommate(s) to discuss these issues:

  • What you plan to study or what classes you have registered for.
  • TelevisionWhat hobbies or interests you have.
  • What items (stereo, TV, stuff) each of you will bring.
  • What items you will both share and which of you will bring them.
  • What time you plan to move into the residence halls or apartments. Remember, freshmen and transfers may check in between 8 a.m. and noon on Thursday, Aug. 21. Returning students will move back on Saturday, Aug. 23, or Sunday, Aug. 24.

After Arriving

Once you and your roommate(s) are moved in, be prepared to talk with your roommate(s) about how things will work in the room or apartment. You will have an opportunity to complete an Apartment Agreement or Roommate Agreement dealing with issues ranging from how clean you want the room(s) kept to your feelings about guests in the room(s).

You may choose to meet with your Resident Assistant or Community Assistant to come to a mutual understanding on these issues. This agreement will help make your transition to this new relationship a smooth one.
