Mission
The mission of the Student Health Center is to maintain optimum physical and emotional health of the La Salle University student body through the provision of quality, accessible, comprehensive, and
cost effective primary health care. We also strive to promote healthy behaviors and lifestyle choices through ongoing educational outreach and programming. The Student Health Center strives to assist students in the pursuit of their academic goals and personal development consistent with the mission of the University.

Student Health Center (SHC) is a Nurse Practitioner Directed Primary Health Care Facility.

A certified registered nurse practitioner (CRNP) is a registered nurse with graduate level education and advanced clinical experience. Nurse practitioners provide nursing and medical services, emphasizing health promotion and disease prevention as well as management of acute and chronic diseases. Services include ordering appropriate diagnostic and laboratory tests, prescription of pharmacological agents, and treatments. Teaching and counseling are major parts of nurse practitioners' activities.
