assessment and treatment of health problems and injuries.
-Health education for individuals or groups.

-Referrals to local medical and dental specialists.
-Free, confidential and anonymous HIV testing is provided annually by an
outside agency.

-Self-care cold center. (Free over-the-counter medications).
-Blood pressure and vision screening.
-Diagnostic tests for strep throat, bladder infections, mononucleosis, pregnancy,
and sexually transmitted diseases.
-Allergy injections (only administered during physician's hours).
-Women's health care and counseling, including breast exams, pregnancy testing,
diagnosis and treatment of vaginal infections and sexually transmitted diseases.
-Support for survivors of rape or sexual assault.

Survivors should know that the staff of the Student Health Center is available
to provide support and assistance.
-Physical exams. Nursing
majors and athletes are to have a physical exam performed by their
family doctor
prior to starting classes.
-Immunizations:
-TB testing
-free flu vaccine (available every fall)
-Chicken pox
-Meningitis
-Hepatitis B
-Measles
-Mumps
-Rubella
-Tetanus
Vaccines are also available at cost.
Medications prescribed at the Student Health Center are often available
at no charge or at cost. Private Family Physicians can prescribe treatments
by calling any local pharmacies including Rite Aid at Broad & Chew
#215-424-7400, CVS at Broad & 66th #215-924-1633 and Banks Pharmacy
1355 W. Tabor Rd #215-927-6700( for $2 Banks will deliver meds to the
Student Health Center).
Students who are absent from class for any reason are responsible for all missed work and contacting their instructors promptly. Student Health does NOT provide notes for missed class unless it requires a hospitalization or is a serious illness documented by their family physician.
