Welcome to the website of the La Salle University Division of Student
Affairs. On behalf of my associates, I extend greetings and an invitation
to browse through the pages of all the offices and programs that make
up our division and to become familiar with our work.
The
organizational structure of our division is unique and was designed
specifically for La Salle University. Both the underlying philosophies
and the structure of the division represent our efforts to blend insights
yielded by current theory, research, and practice regarding student
learning in higher education with the rich traditions of the De La Salle
Christian Brothers.
As
you'll learn when you review our mission statement, we pledge to build,
sustain, and enhance a community focused on student learning and to
do so "together and by association," in the words and spirit of our
patron, St. John Baptist de La Salle. If you are currently a member
of our community, you can assist and, perhaps, benefit from our work
by getting to know more about us through these pages and, more importantly,
through the many personal contacts I hope we'll have as fellow community
members. If you are a visitor to or potential member of our community,
I hope what you learn from these pages will encourage you to learn even
more about us!
You can learn about our division's units and the endeavors in which
they lead us in fulfilling our responsibilities by using the menu bar
at the top of this page. The bar will also lead you to our Events Calendar,
the complete texts of our divisional publications, from the Student
Handbook to our brochures series, and more. The other links at the top
of this page will lead you to a variety of informative sections, particularly
TBA~E,
the electronic newsletter that chronicles the work of the teams and
committees that support and enhance our work.
We're happy you've chosen to visit us. Please don't hesitate to share
with me your comments or questions about what you learn from these pages.
Sincerely,
Joseph J. Cicala, Ph. D.
