Hosting an Event

Are you an individual, in a student organization, or a faculty and/or staff member who wants to host an LNL program? LNL programming helps provide funding for programs that enhance and support student life. LNL sponsors events held between 10p.m. and 2a.m. on Friday and Saturday nights.

If you event matches the criteria listed above, stop by the Student Programming Center, in Union 307, for the necessary programming forms. You will need to make a request for LNL support for your program. This request must be submitted at least four (4) weeks before the date of the event. The following are the important forms you will need to include with your request:

• Organizational Checklist for Contingency Late Night La Salle Program Proposals
• Program Proposal
• Room Reservation Form/Bus reservation Form
• Copy of Advertising (once approved, must include LNL logo)

If your request is approved, you will be required to communicate with the Programming Associate throughout the planning of the event.

While every program is different, the information listed below, along with the Programming Associate, can help you as your program moves along the path to success.

• Start planning at least a month in advance.

• Complete the necessary steps on the Organizational Checklist for Contingency Late Night La Salle Program Proposals .

• Complete a Program Proposal clearly and legibly.

• Schedule an appointment with the Programming Coordinator for Late Night La Salle at least a month before the event.

• Reserve the room(s) with Administrative Services.

• Make sure your group has decided who will be responsible for what task in the planning and implementation of the program.

• When the program is approved, confirm with necessary groups and individuals (Food Services, entertainers, etc.) the need for their services.

• Make sure the necessary contracts or check requests are completed well in advance of the program date.

• Make necessary purchases – save your receipts!

• Get approval for advertisements for the program.

• Advertise for the program, remembering to get flyers and signs stamped by Administrative Services.

• After the program, meet with the Programming Associate to discuss the program and to submit a Program Evaluation.
