ARTICLE V. Duties

Section 1: All Senators and Executive Officers shall be bound to attend and perform all functions and responsibilities incumbent upon their office, including but not limited to attending all meetings of the Senate and University Governance Committees, engaging in prepared and intelligent debate of the same, maintaining office hours or their equivalent, and performing all functions necessary to ensure the smooth operation of the government and service to students as directed by appropriate legislation from the Senate or Executive Board.

Section 2: The Senate shall have the authority to define duties and obligations incumbent upon all Senators duly elected and sworn, and shall have authority to prescribe the penalty for failure to meet said obligations, provided that no person be removed from office unless under the provisions of this Constitution.

Section 3: The Executive Board shall have the authority to define duties and obligations incumbent upon the President and Vice-presidents duly elected and sworn, and shall have the authority to prescribe the penalty for failure to meet said obligations, provided that no person be removed from office unless under the provisions of this Constitution.
