International Education Programs
September 11th: Study Abroad Returnee Reception
Time: 4:30 PM
Location: Multicultural and International Center
Program Description: This reception will be held for the study abroad alumni (students who have just returned from their Spring and summer semester abroad).
September 16th: "LaSallian Students Exploring International Service"
Time: 12:30-1:30 PM
Location: Dan Rodden Theater
Program Description: La Salle students and faculty will be presenting on their various international service/research projects that they have completed this summer. We will be having the following students and faculty present on their international service trips: Project Mapendo (service trip to Tanzania), Los Ninos (service trip to Mexico), Christopher McNabb (service trip to Philippines), Explorer Sans Frontiers (service trip to Senegal), and Huntly Collins & Jeff Quigley '08 (research on AIDS in China). Light refreshments will be served.
September 23rd: Travel Study Interest Meeting
Time: 12:30-1:30 PM
Location: Music Room
Program Description: This meeting be held for student who are interested in learning about travel study. The Spring 2009 travel study faculty will present their course to the students. Students can sign up for a Spring 2009 travel study course during the meeting. Light refreshments will be served.
October 2nd: World Cultures Fair
Time: 12:30-2:00 PM
Location: Union Patio (rain location, La Salle Union Ballroom)
Program Description: The Cross Cultural Association will be sponsoring their annual World Cultures Fair on the Union Patio. The fair will include a variety of different ethnic foods, Hannah hand painting and a performance by the Neo African Drums, La Salle Step Team and Latins.
October 17th: UPenn International Reception
Time: 4:30 PM (We will depart from the MIC at 4:30 PM)
Location: University of Pennsylvania art museum
Program description: The Multicultural and International Education Center will be hosting a trip to the UPenn annual international reception.
October 28th: Peace Corps Presentation
Time: 12:30-1:30 PM
Location: College Hall 204
Program Description: Brother Gerry and class of 09 student, Chris Chamberlain will be presenting their research on the Peace Corps. We will also have Peace Corp volunteers and representatives at the presentation. Refreshments will be provided.
