The
mission of the Multicultural and International Center (MIC) is to serve
as a support and resource for the advancement of cultural pluralism
on campus. The Center provides a wide range of services that enhance
and support the academic and personal development of students of diverse
backgrounds. The Center’s resource library houses information
on multicultural leadership and study abroad; articles and guides for
cultural and racial awareness; and scholarship, fellowship, and internship
information for students of diverse backgrounds.
The Multicultural
Education Coordinator advocates for multicultural student concerns,
from helping students perform to their highest potential and insuring
students’ full participation in the life of the University, to
ensuring a safe and healthy environment for race relations at La Salle.
The Coordinator works with students, faculty, and staff in matters of
cross-cultural or interracial relations and to promote multicultural
and international education.
The International
Education Coordinators assist our international students studying at
La Salle. They also help all students identify and pursue opportunities
to study, work, or travel abroad.
International
students also have the opportunity to enhance their English speaking,
reading, and writing skills through our ESL Plus program. For more information
and application requirements, please visit the ESL plus Web site.
