We are currently taking inquiries for our Spring 2006 Adult Learning Program Classes. For more information and to reserve a space, please call 215-951-1424. Calls are returned in the order they are received.

Also, please watch the La Salle cable channel La Salle 56 periodically for announcements about the Adult Learning Program classes and registration.

Highlights of the Program [ top ]

- Small classes (10 - 15 learners per class)
- Regular feedback from instructors on learners' progress
- Individualized attention in classes
- One-on-one and group tutoring available
- Referral to appropriate support services as needed

- GED Practice Tests are offered throughout the program year (Note: this is not the actual GED Test)

The Adult Learning Program classes are held three times each week for three hours per class. The Adult Learning Program offers both Adult Basic Education and English Literacy classes in the morning, afternoon, and evening. All classes meet for three sessions each week. The program is a ten-month program divided into Fall and Spring Semesters. The Adult Learning Program at La Salle University is part of the Philadelphia Adult Education Network, composed of the YMCA of Philadelphia, Lutheran Children and Family Services, the Elkins Park Library and La Salle University .

- Come to our location: Benilde Hall, Second Floor (enter 19th Street and Olney Avenue gate to La Salle campus). Call 215-951-1804 for more help or information.

- Please keep in mind that registration is held twice a year. If you miss the Fall Registration, the next registration to take place is held in January 2006 for the Spring Semester.

What to Expect During Registration [ top ]

- Allow for an hour and a half for entire registration process
- Identification of your goals
- Registration and placement test
- Personal interview
- Discussion of class schedule and orientation
