The Project is a committee of faculty, staff, and students who plan social justice programming to meet our mission and goals.
In 2007-08 we launched two new programs that were very successful. Dinner/Dialogues feature a dinner, in the Faculty Dining Room, that is both wonderful and has a low-carbon footprint. The guest speaker and dinner guests are in an intimate setting that facilitates a dialogue. Café Conversations are late afternoon conversations on a topic with coffee and sweets. Two important spring events recognize members of the community for their work on behalf of social justice. The Rousseau Award is given the evening before Charter Day, to a faculty or staff member who has made a commitment to work in behalf of disadvantaged people, while the Justice through Service Award is given to Seniors who have demonstrated leadership in working for social justice through community service.
