I received my Bachelors in Political Science at LaSalle. I spent two years in AmeriCorps National Civilian Community Corps, and later acted as a recruiter for AmeriCorps programs. I earned my Masters Degree in Public Service at the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service. While a student at the Clinton School, I several months working in Homa Bay, Kenya, for Heifer International, conducting a public health assessment among AIDS orphans.
