Why did you choose La Salle?
Originally I could never have imagined myself attending La Salle University. I did not have a desire to attend a school where any of my family members had graduated from. However, after talking to a La Salle graduate, she informed me of how wonderful the University is. I chose La Salle because it's tucked into one of the most interesting neighborhood in Philadelphia. The University is surrounded by history, and is focused on being a part of the community, not away from the community.

What can you say about service at La Salle?
The University has one of the best service departments that I had seen on college tours. They offer the opportinity to give direct aid to those most in need. They work to not only be a part of the city but to work with the city to make it a better place for all to live. It's everything I could ever have wanted in a service department... and more!

What sets a Community Service Scholar apart on campus?
Being a scholar is truly like being a family. It's a fast way to make new friends on campus! It also guides you to working in the community and finding the service that best fits you! If that's not enough, Service Scholars live together in the RLC Signum Fidei, which allows for scholars of each grade to grow closer. Plus you get to live in air conditioning!
