Philadelphia's Kenya Shanik Odom Completes Internship at La Salle
University's Non-Profit Management Development Center
Philadelphia----"I
appreciated the student to teacher ratio, and I wanted to be close
to home," says Kenya Shanik Odom, a Southwest Philadelphia resident
who will graduate from La Salle University this December. She recently
completed an internship at La Salle's Non-Profit Management Development
Center, where she helped develop workshops for non-profit executives
this December.
A Psychology major and Business Administration minor, Odom has been
involved in various extra-curricular activities. As a freshman,
she was treasurer and floor senator of the Resident Student Association.
Since then, she has been treasurer of the African American Student
League (AASL), a parliamentarian for the Leadership Council, a founding
member of Diversity Congress, a funding board representative, and
an active member of the Gospel Choir. She also interned at the Non-Profit
Management Development.
After graduation, Odom plans on attending graduate school for industrial
organizational psychology.
