Film Critic & La Salle Professor Bill Wine to Have His Play
Performed
Now it's the reviewer's turn to get
reviewed, as La Salle University Professor and movie critic Bill
Wine is having one of his plays being staged this month.
Your Plays or Mine?-- three, inter-related one-act plays about relationships
-- will be performed July 18,19 and 20th at the Colonial Playhouse,
Ridley and Magnolia Streets in Aldan, Pa. in Delaware County.
"Now the people who disagree with my reviews can come and find
out if I'm as dumb as they think I am," says Wine, who has
taught film history and related subjects at La Salle since 1981.
A film reviewer for Fox Philadelphia and KYW Newsradio, Wine has
had plays produced in Washington, Los Angeles, Chicago and Philadelphia,
and has received both positive and negative notices for his efforts.
It's been nearly a dozen years since Wine has had a play staged
in the Philadelphia area. "It's nice to be back in the theatre
game of doing something here again," he says.
The three one acts - titled Alter Ego, Parentheses and Adamant Eve
-- deal with a playwright and his relationship with his ex-wife;
one of the plays he's written is about him and his former spouse.
