Peter Boyle, whose roles have ranged from the grumpy father on “Everybody Loves Raymond” to the Loveable Monster in Young Frankenstein, was honored by his alma mater, La Salle University, with the University’s Shining Star Award, given by the school’s Communication Department.

The award was presented at a gala affair on October 29 th at the Pyramid Club, 1735 Market Street in Philadelphia. Proceeds from the function will benefit the La Salle Communication Fund for Excellence, endowing scholarships and advancing the needs of the University’s Communication Department.
