Three La Salle Students and Several Alums Worked in Jacksonville
at the Super Bowl
Three
La Salle University Communication majors, Ryan Muth, Ben Rosehart
and Brian Yeager, worked at the Super Bowl, along with seven
graduates of
La Salle’s Communication Department. |
 |
Muth
joined the Eagles for an internship last fall and helped with video
demands of setting up equipment, recording and editing material
for the various coaches’ game plans. On game day, Ryan provided
camera shots and subsequent printouts of the various formations
and plays of the offense and defense of both teams.
Rosehart,
also an intern with the team, recorded interviews for the NFL’s
cable channel. Using a two-way video connection between the Eagles’
NovaCare complex and studios in Los Angeles, Rosehart recorded interviews
with players and then shipped the material to California. He also
assisted the Eagles on home game days, helping the coaching staff
with their communication needs.
Yeager
was an intern with NFL Films in Mt. Laurel, NJ, working as a production
assistant in studio productions. He became involved with editing
and the production process, especially the highlight reels of the
Eagles.
In
addition to them, a number of La Salle communication alumni now
employed by the Eagles, NFL Films and other communication firms
are with the team in Jacksonville.
La
Salle communication alums at the Super Bowl include Mark Ricci,
of NFL Films, who did sound at the Super Bowl; Kevin Dougherty,
who works in the Eagles video department;Joe McPeak, who produced
the radio broadcast for WYSP; Mike Trainor and Frank Faber, who
work on game-days with the Eagles’ video unit; Mile Sielski
who covered the game for the Calkins Newspaper Group, as did Matt
Howley, who writes and produces programs for Comcast Sports Network.
