La Salle University’s Students’ Government Association
to Host 16th Annual Basketball Marathon
to Benefit the American Cancer Society
La Salle University will host its 16th annual “Shooting for a Cure” basketball marathon to benefit the American Cancer Society (ACS) on March 24-25. Sponsored by the University’s Students’ Government Association (SGA), the 24-hour event is open to public participation. Groups can enter by providing an entrance fee for a 50-minute time slot. All proceeds will be donated to the ACS. Last year’s event raised $11,000. The SGA is hoping to raise $15,000 this year.
The marathon will take place at the Tom Gola Arena in La Salle’s Hayman Center from 3 p.m. Friday, March 23, to 3 p.m. Saturday, March 24.
