La Salle University will host the annual International Digital Media and Arts Association conference in Philadelphia, Nov. 8 to 10. Beyond Boundaries: Pedagogy & Change in the Academic Environment is the conference’s theme, which will examine the integration of content into technology and the implications for teaching and learning.

Peter Rivera of AOL will be the keynote speaker.

“How content will be distributed and managed in new technologies will be one of the prevailing discussions at the conference,” said Dr. Conrad Gleber, Chair of the Digital Arts and Multimedia Design program at La Salle.

How that content can be managed into technology and business will also be examined.

From journalism in the digital age to how the technology will be used in feature films will be discussed.

Topics to be explored at the conference include Collaborative Structures, Mobile Media, Circuit Bending, Social Networking, Games, Creative Practice, Professional Standards, Program Case Studies, and Digital Media Design.

Among the highlights of the conference will be an art exhibit, displaying works by digital arts students from 10 universities.
