STATEMENT
ON COACHES' RESIGNATIONS
From La Salle University President Brother Michael J.McGinniss
I
am announcing today that I have decided to accept the resignations
of Coaches Billy Hahn and John Miller effective immediately.
This is a complex situation and not a judgment on the personal character
of the coaches, but the University's policies and procedures are
clear. When it comes to the safety of our students and our community,
there is no room for personal interpretation of our rules.
In serious matters such as these, we must act and will act decisively.
It is in the best interests of everyone involved that we take this
action at this time.
Respecting all the sensitivities in this matter, we're not making
any further comments on the issue.
