Today’s topic is more cascading style sheets.
Reading: HTML5 and CSS3 chapters 9, 10, 14.

You should understand the code behind the following demo I put together: CSS demo, and take alook at an old Web site I put together as a CSS Tutorial.

For future reference, here is a site that will translate or explain advanced CSS for you, called the Select Oracle. A good reference list for current CSS-3 properties is at Blooberry.com

Don’t forget: test on Thursday. And here is the content to review for the quiz:

  • HTML5 and CSS3 chapters 1-10, 14, 15 (397-403), 18, 21 (don't worry about advanced topics on yellow backgrounds)
  • Lectures: Net vs. Web; URLs, Browsers, Search engines, basic HTML, XHTML, ML history. Be prepared to correct some XHTML code and know the basics of CSS; CSS3 and HTML5 (what they can do)
  • Handouts: Welcome sheet (know what everything stands for); CSS basics
